Mug

Hi Stampers!
First, let me apologize for being a blog slacker!! I have been SO busy preparing for workshops. Everyone is trying to get their workshop in during Sale-A-Bration.

One hostess saw the "cute little mug" on page 57 of the Idea Book and Catalog and wanted to make it at her workshop. Since everyone was going to be pretty new at stampin', she ended up with this as a hostess gift with a mini stamp in it! The pattern was found on the demonstrator website in the Pattern Library...#6, IF I remember correctly. It really was not that hard for a seasoned stamper/crafter. The "recipe" is on the ingredient list on-line, just like every other card/project in the Idea Book and Catalog. If you need help finding the list, please email me and I can walk you through it.

I will try to do better at keeping my blog more current.

Happy Stampin'!!

** HINT **

Hi Stampers!
Since I have not received a single email about where I might have cased that lovely box, I have concluded that 1) Either no one is looking at my blog or 2) No one ever looks at the cover of our current Idea Book and Catalog.
I used an 8x8" piece of the card board from inside a package of designer paper, scored at 2" on all sides. Then just followed the recipe listed on the website.

Choo Choo!!

Hi Stampers!
My friend, Kim, was here tonight. We just finished making this ADORABLE (if I must say so myself) little train for her boss's son's birthday. We used Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Basic Black card stock and the Box #2 die , cutting the tops off the boxes. After putting the boxes together, the wheels were attached. The wheels are with the 1-1/4" circle punch out of Real Red that are layered onto cardboard from the back of designer series paper. Then, we added the 3/4" circle punched out of black to each wheel, attaching with a silver brad. The train cars are linked together using the Word Window punch and silver brad.
Ahh...the coal car! I cut a 4" circle with my Circle Scissor Plus, cut it in half and then trimmed the ends to allow it to fit down inside the car. I drew a pencil line along the circle, showing myself what would be showing out the top of the car. Then, Kim attached Basic Black flowers punched with the flower trio punch. Below are a few more detailed photographs.

The Build-a-Bear conductor was SO much fun to add!! The "cabin" that he is in was made by cutting a 2-1/4" x 8-1/2 inch strip of Tempting Turquoise, scoring at about 3-1/2" from each end. Punch 1-3/4" circle and add Sweet Treat Cup. DO NOT take the film off the sticky ring of the cup! That stays intact and I adhered the cut from the inside using mini glue dots. Then, using my Circle Scissor Plus, I cut a ring out with a 1-3/4"+ nudge inside diameter and a 2-1/4" outside diameter. (Hopefully that makes sense) ENJOY! Let me know what you think...

Folk Flowers

Hi Stampers!

Thank goodness for swap cards! I got this amazing swap from Jodi Reinert in the Rising Star Occasions Mini swap. Last month in my stamp clubs we made this card using the Folk Flowers Decor Stencils (118139) from the new Occasions Mini Catalog click here to download.
It's very simple to make. First, cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Soft Suede (115318) card stock in half and score it at 4 1/4. Then, take Rich Razzleberry and cut it to 5-1/4" x 4" (which will leave 1/4" on each side) and finally, Very Vanilla (101650), cut at 5" x 3-3/4" is used for the stencil.
To stencil the image: Use Dotto (103305) to temporarily hold the stencil down on the Very Vanilla card stock. Or, (hind sight 20/20) consider using Dotto to hold your Very Vanilla paper to your grid paper and then use tape to secure your stencil. If you use the Dotto on the stencil, be prepared to use Goo-Gone or some other solvent to remove the Dotto from the acrylic stencils. :-(
Inks: In colors - Crushed Curry (115659), Soft Suede (115657), Rich Razzleberry (115658)
Using stamping sponges (101610) I sponged my stencil on the Very Vanilla card stock.
When removing the stencil you may need to use an adhesive remover (103684) to remove the Dotto resido.
Now, taking your Soft Suede ink and your sponge, sponge along the sides of the Very Vanilla to soften the image. You can also use your sponge to gently dab on the image.
To finish off this card we used the paper piercing tool (116631) to add our brad - circle fire (109110) in the center of the flower.
Assemble with tombow multi purpose adhesive (110755) and dimensionals (104430) for an added effect.

Happy Stamping!
