Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - It's Almost SPRING
Hello Stampers!
Welcome to another Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! THANK YOU for joining us!! This month we are concentrating on Home Decor. I personally love framed art and, Spring is springing forth here in South Texas and inspired me to make this for you today.
As you can see, as you scroll down, I made two "the same but different" framed art pieces. Both use all the same supplies except for the background paper. In this first layout, I used the flowered piece of Irresistibly Your designer series paper from our Sale-a-Bration offering. (I LOVE this paper!!)
I stamped the leaves from Crazy About You onto the DSP using Pistachio Pudding ink. Then, after gently dabbing and then rubbing the ink off of the embossed flowers, I sponged the paper with Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding ink, again wiping off the excess ink from the flowers.
In the frame below I simply used a piece of paper from Best Year Ever designer series paper from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I really like them both equally. Fresh and "Springy"!
Here is what you need to make this project:
Stamps: Crazy About You, Sophisticated Serifs
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Gold Glimmer paper, and either Best Year Ever dsp or Irresistibly Yours dsp from the Sale-a-bration Catalog
Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantalope
Other: Calypso Coral and Pool Party embossing powder, Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches, Pearl Basic Jewels, Burlap Ribbon (one strand taken from a piece for the butterfly antennae)
the Heat Tool, Glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals.
I hope you like this framed art! It went together quickly. Why not try it today!
Now, hop on over to Patty Chenail's blog or Back to Carol Payne.
