So Very Happy Birthday

Hi Stampers!
I finally got some time to play with new products over the weekend. I am truly not an owl lover but, this little guy is SOOO cute! He is colored with Baked Brown Sugar ink with a blender pen. I used Coastal Cabana and Hello Honey markers to color the sentiment and flag. I love this layout because I feel I get the "biggest bang for my buck" from the designer series paper. I used a 4" x 4" piece of Lullaby DSP. This way I can get NINE cards fronts from ONE sheet of DSP.  Pardon the use of the googly eyes that are retired. However, you can still get them from the Clearance Rack in the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Printed Kit for $3.19 (50 count) Item# 126914.

If you are new to creating your own card designs, my rule of thumb is to use designer paper in sizes equally divisible into 12. For example 12 x 1, 6 x 2, 3 x 4 all equal 12. Therefore, I like to use pieces of DSP that are 1, 2, 3, (1-1/2"), 4, 6 inches by 1, 2, 3, (1.5"), 4 or 6 inches. It makes the more expensive designer paper go further! That is my "tip" for the day. Hope you have a great evening!!

Happy Stampin',
Judy
