Card for a Friend

Howdy Stampers!
I want to share a Z-fold card that I made for a friend in rehab. He is making slow, steady progress and I wanted to send a "happy" card of encouragement. I used the Bird Banter stamp set, stamping all the birds onto scrap Whisper White and coloring them with my Blends then fussy cutting them out. (YES, he is definitely worth all that fussy cutting!)

The message on the inside of the card was printed using my computer and the RGB code for Pacific Point color for the wording.  Did you KNOW that you can have your computer print in Stampin' Up! colors???   Here is the address to find the RGB and/or HEX codes that you need on Marie Shaughnessy's blog: (copy and paste into the address window)

If you need help using them, leave a comment with the way you want to be contacted.

Here is a photo of the card when it opens. In case you cannot read the note, it begins by saying that we are "on cloud nine" about his recovery.  The clouds for the Z-fold was made by running the full length of a Whisper White strip through the Big Shot using the Rainbow Builder thinlits.  You might notice one cloud that is different than all the others. It was punched with the cupcake punch. :-)
Below are the measurements for the card base and cloud Z-fold piece. Use your imagination. Instead of clouds, make trees. Instead of clouds make "water" using he scallop edge thinlit and Seaside embossing folder. The sky is the limit!!

Card base: 4.25" x 11"  scored at 2.75" and 5.5"
Front cloud piece: 4.25" x 11"  scored at 5.5" and 8.25"
You will glue to the first short flap and then the last flap of the cloud to the end of the card base, leaving the rest of the clouds free to move.

Have Fun!!
Happy Stampin'
